NRL: Sydney Roosters sing Newcastle Knights' Brock Lamb on two-year deal

//

THE Sydney Roosters have signed Newcastle five-eighth Brock Lamb to a two-year deal.

The 21-year old has been unhappy at the Knights for much of this season, playing in and out of first grade.

His contract is up and after being unable to come to terms with the Knights, the Roosters swooped.

Lamb will be the fourth big-name signing for the Roosters for 2019, joining Angus Crichton (Rabbitohs), Ryan Hall (Leeds Rhinos) and Brett Morris (Bulldogs).

His signing adds to speculation that veteran Cooper Cronk is considering retiring at the end of the current season.

Cronk has another year on his deal with the club but WWOS revealed last month he may decide to give the game away.

The Roosters have two top-class halves in Cronk and Luke Keary and would not have signed Lamb as merely a back-up.
